Starting September 1, 2025, the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) benefit will return to $40/month for households of 1-2, $60/month for households of 3-5, and $80/month for households of 6 or more. Thanks to advocates who worked to restore funding after the program was cut to $20/month in December 2024 and then raised only to $40/month regardless of household size in July 2025.
If you have SNAP, Massachusetts automatically gives you extra money to spend on fruits and vegetables from farmers markets and farm stands through the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP).
